About Florian Daniel

I am a post-doc researcher at the University of Trento, Italy, where I work in the Distributed Systems and Data and Knowledge Management research groups. Before moving to Trento, I worked as visiting researcher in HP Labs, Palo Alto, California, and I was post-doc researcher at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, from which I hold a Ph.D. in Information Technology (2007) and a Master in Computer Engineering (graduation in 2003 with full marks cum laude). I am author of the book Engineering Web Applications (Springer, 2009) and of about forty scientific publications in international conferences, workshops, and journals. I am organizer of the international workshops ComposableWeb and AEWSE, involved in the organization of conferences like ICSOC and ICWE, and PC member/reviewer for several international conferences, workshops, and journals. The two big areas of my current research interests are Web Engineering and Business Process Management/Intelligence.
