Description:

Over the last years we have been witnessing an increasing use of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, i.e., solutions such as data warehouses, reporting and data mining tools that allow business people to query, understand, and analyze their business data in order to make better decisions. BI applications typically extract data from multiple data sources, clean them to ensure data quality and consistency to the possible extent, transform them, and then generate various kinds of reports. In this context, my research focus is on quality-aware BI solutions, privacy, and business compliance.
